Arizona Adventures

Well, it seems lately I have not been as anti-social as I normally am. I don't know how I feel about that. But I'm not that concerned about it because most of the time I was with my mom or both parents. So my rep isn't getting tarnished yet. To make things easier (on me) I'm basically going to copy and paste my e-mail to Jake this week so I don't have to retype it all. This last week I did some fun stuff and didn't just stay home all the time like I usually do. I like doing that though.
On Thursday mom took me to this place in Sedona called Slide Rock Park.
You could go on this natural water slide thing in the river/creek and at first it seems like it will be scary so you are nervous but then when you go on it, it is scary.
But I didn't die and I went 2 times even though it was freezing cold and there was snow on them there mountains, but at least it was like 75 degrees outside so that was good.
Then that night we came home and I went to dinner with sister vasquez, my mission companion. I hadn't seen her since almost 2 years ago when she went home so that was fun. We went to Famous Dave's BBQ. I ain't never been there and it was ok but not great. It was fun though and we talked about the mission and stuff and it was neat. Then I went home and went to bed.
The next day I woke up and me and mom drove down to Arivaca, where I used to work at that boys ranch. Mom wanted to see it and I forgot her cool aluminum water bottle I telled ya about so we had to get that. It was fun to go back and them boys wuz excited we were there so that was fun.
Then we drove drove drove back home and I went to this single adults party. Here's the scoop on that one...the whole time I have been here, Sister Preece keeps emailing, snail mailing, calling, and inviting at church for me to go to these single adult activities. I never go. So she asked me last Sunday if I would come and I had no excuse so I said, Okie dokie. Then she emailed me about it. Twice. So we get back, I rush rush rush there cuz I was an hour late, and when I get there I walk in and... it's all OLD LADIES. At first I thought I was at the wrong house but then I was like, why would they let me in and just happen to be having a party? So then I thought, I'll just eat and peace out. It was a potluck and games night. Well they had pretty good food and then they started to play games and I was like, maybe this will be fun. Because they were playing Wii Sports. This old lady was rockin it and smackin that tennis ball left and right for a real long time and schoolin everyone. But then she had to go home because her arthritis flared up. :/ Then we played Mario Kart and at first I pretended like I was bad but then I got 1st place like 6 times. Also, the sister's investigator John came, so that was good that I was there cuz no one else knew him but he and I are bff's. Then on Saturday, I went to Stephanie Shelton's house cuz they are moving to Gilbert (across the valley) so I helped her move some stuff and put it in their van and then when he husband Josh got home from work, we drove it to their new house and then we went to dinner at Famous Dave's (again!) but it was a lot better this time. And then we went and saw this ugly puppy bulldog that Josh wants to get but it costs $2000 and Stephanie hates it and they would have to finance it and it would be more than their car payments. Yesterday (Monday) I hung out with my coolio friend Chris Brown. He was in my MTC zone and lives in Mesa. He showed me all the sites on Mill Ave which I guess is the cool hang out for ASU students. It WAS pretty cool and we saw some hobos and some hippies and smelled some weird stuff and there was this big black guy sitting against a wall on a suitcase and I thought to myself, "Why is he sleeping on the street?" Then when we walked past him he started SINGING some Crrrraaazzzy jazz song and Chris started dancing and it was a real good Arizona experience. Then after we were passed him he went back to sleep. Guess jazz singing on the street takes a lot of energy. We had some FROyo and it was way awesome and they had these passion fruit popper balls that were filled with passion fruit and they POPPED in your mouth! It was soooo neat. Today was Taco TUESDAY at Loco Patron. Awesome. As always.
